Aaron started soccer back in July. We were pretty excited about it and so was he. The class was through our local parks and recreation department and was for ages 4-6. Since the cut off was July 1 Aaron just barely was able to join. He was among the youngest of his teammates.
Keith was able to help assistant coach. He is a former NY State soccer champion so he was pretty excited to help out. Of course Aaron thought he was the cats meow having daddy be a coach on his team! :)
The first few practices were a bit rough for our Aaron. He is so tall so colt-like that he hasn't quite caught up to his limbs yet. He was pretty bummed out that only one ball was allowed on the field at a time. He knew the object was to kick the ball into the goal, but getting him to get the ball away from the other team was....well, a whole new ball game. I have several videos of him running down the field after his team mates, looking up at the sky, crouching down at the ground and looking for bugs, and running up to me to ask me exactly whose turn it was to bring the snack and he wondered what the snack might be.
It doesn't matter though. After his first practice we were going back to the car and he announced, "Daddy, soccer is SO fun!"
And that's all that matters.
