Whatever are we going to do to fill the time?

At the end of May a lot of moms I know think the same thing I do: WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ALL SUMMER?!

Here it is already the middle of summer vacation and as usual I can't believe how quickly it has gone by. The month of June always flies because we're busy planning and having Aaron's party. And then the 4th comes and Keith's birthday rolls around and before you know it it's the middle of summer.

So far we've been extremely busy.

Aaron took a sports sampler class at the Y which was a lot of fun. He thought the rock climbing portion was the coolest thing ever!

He also got to play soccer, basketball and floor hockey. Unfortunately the Y was closed for a week due to rennovations so we missed the last week of his class.

The fourth of July was fun, and we spent it how we have since we've been back to MI. We went to the parade in a nearby town in the morning and then went to the fireworks in the same town that night. Staying up until 11:30 pm was a first for Aaron but he did great.

Keith's mom and her husband Bob were here over Aaron's birthday and a few days beyond. They then traveled to Chicago and then came back here for 2 more days. As usual Bob was extremely helpful around our house and he not only fixed a ceiling fan but he also installed a set of french doors between our sunroom and our kitchen.

This week Aaron is attending camp at the Humane Society. He's really enjoying it and is learning all about animals. His little group has temporarily adopted a dog and they care for it and walk it every day. And naturally when I ask him what his favorite part of the day is so far he's always said, "Snack time!" As if I should be surprised, right?

He also started Tiny Tots Soccer through our parks and recreation program. This year his team is called the Pink Panthers because their shirts are pink. Of all the colors available, they chose pink.

Even though we've been busy with all of these activities, we're still managing to find time for summertime fun stuff! We've played with his rocket sprinkler (thank you Stacey!), played t-ball, soccer, have hit quite a few parks around town, and the best part of summer ever.........

.....The Slip & Slide! Does this bring back memories or what?
