Okay, so I started this and then never sent the link to anyone. That might help, huh?
Not much news to report. Aaron's still doing really well. He's been a little on the cranky (read: miserable and whiney!) side lately. We suspect his molars are on the way but he just can't seem to tell us what's wrong! :D He's been drooling like crazy and everything (and we mean EVERYTHING!) is going into his mouth. This morning he so graciously brought me a screw he found on the floor. Great. I was envisioning a trip to the ER.
He is moving allllllllllllll over the place. Another momentous occasion occurred this weekend when he learned to stand up from a seated position without hanging onto something. Of course now that he knows how to do that, he's up and down, up and down, up and down. He feels like he's invincible to the world but unfortunately he's not. Yesterday alone he fell 3 times and gave himself one goose egg on his forehead and a bruise on his cheek. Poor little guy. He loves to carry stuff around with him now that he can walk. It's quite funny watching him try to carry his big bouncy ball while wobbling unsteadily on his feet.
And oh my goodness, does he ever love his books! His favorites are his Elmo bath book (it's squishy and he can take it into the bath with him to watch it turn colors), his Elmo Loves You book, and his Dr. Seuss Foot Book. He either has them in his hands all the time, or else he likes to throw them at us. We guess that means, "READ THIS TO ME NOW!" LOL. We've gotten to the point that we know about 9 of his books by memory. It's pretty funny.
The best part about the Elmo Loves You book is that the end page says, "....Will you be Elmo's Valentine? Can Elmo have a kiss?..." and he brings the book up to his mouth and gives it a big wet kiss. We have no idea where he learned to do that since he won't kiss either one of us or give anything else of his kisses.
Last night we got to witness a great big tantrum of his! Oh, it was quite fun (sarcasm). We were holding his night time cup of milk and asked him if he wanted it. He usually comes right over and lunges at it. Well last night he did this about 3 times and each time on his way over he fell down. He then proceeded to throw his little body on the floor and bang his head on the carpet. Although it was really really sad to see that, in a way it was kind of cute. Remind us that we said it was CUTE that he had a tantrum in a few years, okay?
So that's it! Keith has been enjoying his new car and looks for reasons to go out. Last night he ran to the store for me and although his car was parked in the garage already and mine was sitting in the driveway, he chose to take his. He cracks me up. He bought me some really really pretty roses for our anniversary and they are the most beautiful flowers ever. For the first time I've had roses actually OPEN and stay nice for over 3 days. I'll have to take a picture of them.
And, the big 3-3 is coming tomorrow! I only feel 'old' when I talk to my friend Amy. She is the same age, but she has an almost 9 year old (and a baby on the way in November!). THAT makes me feel old! I figure Aaron'll keep me young and lithe for a few more years at least.
